Citadelle Souterraine Verdun's Underground Citadel was completed in 1838, and in 1916 it was transformed into a command centre for WWI soldiers. Today, it features seven kilometres of underground galleries delineating the WWI history of the area. Tours are available in six different languages and last approximately 30 minutes.
